Gilles covers the LATAM region. He has over 20 years sell-side experience in the financial markets in increasingly senior positions. Over the last 6 years his focus has been on Hedge Funds marketing and Credit Derivatives with firms such as Bear Stearns, Vining Sparks and Park Place Capital (where he worked alongside Philip Hands).

From 1995 to 1999 Gilles spent 4 years as Managing Director of Tokyo Mitsubishi Capital Markets division in London, where he was in charge of structured financing for Emerging Markets Sovereigns. Prior to that, Gilles spent 6 years at Salomon Brothers as Head of European Fixed Income Sales, where he notably lead the marketing effort to raise close to $ 1 Billion for Salomon Brothers first Fixed Income Strategies Fund, based on Salomon's proprietary arbitrage trading book. Gilles started his career in 1984 in New York at Merrill Lynch's Sales and Trading Training Programme. He obtained his MBA in 1984 from New York University Business School (Stern), and his business degree in France from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in 1982. Gilles was born in Paris, and is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
